I’m delighted to have the lovely Lily Harlem at my place today for a pre-Christmas mince pie, and to give us a taster of her incredibly yummy new novel Teamwork – part of her excellent Hot Ice series.

Over to you Lily…

Thanks so much, Kay for inviting me over today. It’s always fun to come and hang out here.

For those of you who don’t know me, like Kay, I’m a UK author. I write erotic romance and have been published on both sides of the pond. Today I’m very excited about a new release in my Hot Ice series, Teamwork.

This is the fourth book about those seriously bad boys of the ice. These stories don’t need to be read in order, each novel features a new hero and heroine and follows their journey of love and lust. Though if you do read them in order, the hero of the next book is briefly introduced in the previous.

Here is the blurb for Teamwork

What I know about hockey could fit on the back of a stamp. So my latest patient may be one of the NHL’s hottest defensemen, but I’m not exactly blown away by his stardom. Add in the fact that he’s a surly, growling grump, and I’m more than happy to work my magic on his battered body and then hot-foot to my date with his teammate, Todd “Pretty” Carty.

Todd is sex on a stick, a slice of man heaven and I want a bit of the action, preferably of the bedroom variety. But when Raven emerges from his bad mood and throws his energy into blowing my mind with just one kiss, I find my head spinning and my libido raging.

What I didn’t bargain on is these hard-training, hard-playing hockey players working as efficiently off the ice as on it when it comes to getting results. But who am I to complain when satisfaction is their ultimate goal?

My Hot Ice series suits me very well as I love sport, not just to watch but also to participate in. I cycle, horse-ride, have dabbled in martial arts and competed on the trampoline in my younger days. I also enjoy being a spectator, never missing a big football game, and also, following my local ice hockey team, The Cardiff Devils. When the Olympics were on this year, that was it, everything else I was supposed to be doing just ground to a halt.

But Teamwork was double the fun for me to write as ménage is one of my most favourite subgenre’s. In fact my very first full-length novel was SHARED http://www.ellorascave.com/shared.html about a threesome who come together in the most unusual of circumstances. I adore the dynamics of three characters, not just in the bedroom but also out of it. In fact this appealed to me so much I went on to write SHARED TOO http://www.ellorascave.com/shared-too-1.html  which addresses the deeper issues effecting a long-term relationship. Not just the first flush of love but the ups and downs life throws at everyone and how three people in a marriage cope with that. It was a blast to write, though hard at times, not everyone behaves as they should in real life, and that was also the case in this book.

But I am going to take a little break from writing over the Christmas holidays and enjoy the festive fun. The tree is up, the mince pie’s are waiting to be enjoyed and the presents are, well, half bought – I guess I will have to do some shopping before I put my feet up.

Thanks so much for reading, have a wonderful holiday season.

Lily x
