Last Sinful Sunday I woke to find a lovely surprise awaiting me on Twitter. My dear friend, and fellow Brit Babes, Tabitha Rayne had alerted me to a lovely article on Candysnatch Reviews. The blog was about those works of erotica that we need to keep handy- well read stories that we like to return to again and again. And which book featured in the photograph to accompany the blog?

The original version of The Perfect Submissive! Take a peep!

You can imagine how thrilled I was- especially as this week I have re-launched a new look, re-edited, edition of that very book! Now entitled The Fifth Floor, this- the first novel in The Perfect Submissive Trilogy- is the same story a before, but with just a little tiny bit extra added here and there.

If you haven’t encountered Miss Jess Sanders, Mrs Laura Peters, and Miss Sarah yet- then there has never been a better time!

Available now in paperback and as an ebook, so can stock those Christmas stockings and pack those Christmas Kindles, Nooks, Kobo’s and so on…

Massive thanks to Candy for her kind inclusion of my novel on her Sinful Sunday post. When I messaged to thank her in person she replied…

October 10  |  BDSM, eBooks, erotic romance, News  |   Kay Jaybee

Drum roll please….

I am delighted to be able to announce that the updating and re-editing of much of my Kay work is moving at great a pace. So much so that today I can reveal my three newest book covers…

I LOVE THEM!!!

A Kink a Day is a new series of anthologies designed to provide you with one short hit of kink every evening- a little relief after a hard day at the office- with an extra nibble of sexy story-age at the weekend…

Some of the stories have been released before in my (no longer available) Quick Kink one and two collections. Others are brand new.

A Kink a Day is re-edited, revamped, and will (hopefully) keep you in short erotic stories of all types, styles and strengths for ages and ages!

At the moment, A Kink a Day- Book One is being released, story by story, on the Radish platform. This app is available on your phone, and you can pay (via coins similar to those you’d use in Candy Crush etc.) , to read one story at a time. I have just released the first tale- A Leading Conversation- and I will be adding the others very soon indeed.

Once the entire book has been through Radish, I intend to make it available on Kindle…watch this space. I have SO many plans….

Not only am I updating all my short stories, but also my novels. I can’t wait to show you my new Perfect Submissive Trilogy covers!

Happy reading (and downloading)

November 10  |  eBooks, erotic romance  |   Kay Jaybee

I’m thrilled to welcome my fellow Brit Babe, Lily Harlem, to my site today, to share a little from her brand new story, Rule Breaker.

rulebreaker_800

Back Cover Information

Locks, keys and prison bars can’t contain a love that’s meant to roam wild and free, but when that love is let loose, will Lacey be able to handle what’s heading her way?

Rules are meant to protect the innocent and keep danger at bay—except for me. The lines blur, and it all started when I met the ultimate bad boy. But is he? Miller Davenport might be big, bad and brimming with sin but he’s confessed his crimes and for ten years he’s served his time and walked the line.

Everyone deserves a second chance, right? And as his nurse—the one person who understands him—I can’t help but count the days till we can be together properly, without guards watching over us and without every look and word we share censored.

When that day comes, though, will our desire for each other explode and take me to the new heights he’s promised? And if so, how will I survive such intensity?

One thing is for sure. With Miller I’ll be whisked up in a whirlwind of his dark energy and a tornado of his lust, and likely taken to the very edge of what I can handle. I can’t help a few nerves, though, as release day approaches, because if it all comes crashing down, who can I depend on when I’ve ridden into the sunset with a man who’s broken all the rules? Will I be saved or will I have pushed everyone and everything too far?

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of exhibitionism, anal play and light restraint.

Excerpt

“Yeah.” He nodded. “Yeah, you’re right. I’ll just go with the first one they show me. Fuck it, it’s a cake shop. They’ll all be bloody nice.” He glanced at Miller then back to me. “Do you mind if I make a call while you—?”

“Not at all, go ahead.” I waved him to the seat. “This is my last time with Miller anyway, so I’m sure he’ll behave.”

Miller’s jaw was tense. His eyebrows drew low and a small muscle flexed in his cheek.

Barry pulled out his phone and, without glancing at me again, dropped his bulk into the chair—the legs scraped on the hard floor. He started scrolling over the screen.

“Come on,” I said to Miller.

He followed me into the clinical room.

I walked up to the counter and reached for my tray of equipment.

“Lacey.”

I startled. He was right behind me.

He set his hands on the work surface, one either side of my body, trapping me against it with his torso.

“What?” I whispered, glancing at the door, my head brushing his.

“Tomorrow,” he murmured, his mouth right against my ear.

A thrill and a chill went through me as my neck and scalp tingled and tightened at his nearness.

“What about it?” I placed my right hand over his, cupping his hard knuckles. It was a bold move, but touching him was what I craved—I couldn’t help myself.

I heard him pull in a breath. “Meet me.”

“Where?”

“Anywhere you fucking want. Just be there.” He paused and pushed a little harder against me.

His groin, the outline of his cock, semi-hard, nestled against the crack of my buttocks. Lust blazed through my veins. Damn it, tomorrow was too long to wait.

But we had to.

“There’s a pub, round the corner from here,” I said. “The Cow and Slipper.”

He turned his hand and gripped my forearm. His fingertips pressed over my pulse points, his fingers were big and dark against the delicate veiny underside of my wrist.

“I’ll be there at noon,” he said.

“So will I.”

“Thank you.” He pressed his cheek against my ear. The weight of his head was heavy against mine.

I leaned into him. The daring, risky move heightened all of my senses. His chest against my shoulders, his breath on my cheek and his stubble against my temple. And damn, his body shoved into mine, his cock pushing through clothes against my arse. I wanted it. All of it.

“We’ll take it slow,” he whispered. “Get to know each other without a boss watching over us. Speak freely about what we want. I’m not in it for a lay. What we have is special. I’m doing this because I want you—always have, from the first time I saw you.” He paused. “But you know that.”

I swallowed and turned. I did know that.

He released my wrist.

I looked up at him. This was the closest we’d ever been. I was surrounded by him, wrapped up in him. It was where I wanted to be.

He leaned a little closer and his chest brushed against mine.

My nipples drew into pinched peaks, scraping against the inner cups of my bra.

“I thought of you last night,” he said. He lifted his hand and caressed my cheek. The small hard patches of skin, from where he banged weights, scratched against my flesh.

“What did you think?” I asked, my hands hovering. I wanted to touch him but didn’t dare, for fear that I wouldn’t be able to stop.

I glanced at the door again.

“Shh, it’s okay. I can still hear him talking,” he said.

“Maybe you should tell me tomorrow, when we don’t have to rush.” My heart was racing, adrenaline swamping my system. The thought of Barry catching us like this had me on a knife’s edge, but I couldn’t push Miller away. Barry had been instructed to behave like Miller might be a danger to me, yet I’d never felt safer than at this moment with Miller’s full attention—with Miller, big, bad now-tamed Miller, looming over me.

I knew what he was, what he was capable of, but he’d been reformed. He was being let out. The judge, the crown, had decided he’d paid for his crimes and he was no longer a danger to society.

Which meant he wasn’t a danger to me.

“I’ll tell you tomorrow then,” he said, lowering his head. “If that’s what you want.”

I stared into his dark eyes, at the way his lashes pointed slightly downward. They weren’t curled, and he had a tiny freckle like a teardrop under his left eye. I hadn’t noticed that before. Hadn’t been close enough.

“I’ll look after you, hen,” he whispered. “Don’t ever be afraid of me. I’m not violent. I’m a good man now. I’ll be your good man for as long as you’ll have me. I promise. I won’t hurt you.”

“I’m not…scared, that is.”

“Good.” He leaned closer still. I looked at his lips. I could see every tiny dent and crease on them, his top one was thinner than the bottom and with stubble peppered right up to the outline.

Fuck, is he going to kiss me?

We couldn’t.

Not here.

Not now.

“No,” I mouthed.

He pressed his closed lips to mine. They were dry, yet soft. He held my head in both of his hands and pushed his hard body forward, trapping me against the counter.

I whimpered and clung to his forearms. Terror and desire warred within me. I’d lose my job. He could lose his good-behavior privilege and be held for the remainder of his sentence.

It was the most reckless kiss I’d ever experienced, yet also the gentlest, sweetest connection I could ever remember.

He pulled back.

I opened my eyes.

His were still shut.

He furled his tongue over his bottom lip, as though tasting me there.

“Jesus,” he said quietly. “How the hell am I going to get through this last night without you?”

“Stop.” I rested my hands on his chest and pushed. “Please, save this for tomorrow.” Again I threw a glance at the door.

“Okay.” He opened his eyes, released me and stepped back. He held up his palms as if surrendering. “This last bit is the hardest though. I guess it’s like running a marathon. It’s all shit but the last mile? The last hundred yards? That’s what really gets you here.” He banged his chest. “It’s the shitiest bit.”

“I suppose.” I rubbed the tip of my index finger on my lips, reliving the sensation of his mouth on mine.

“Fucking genius you are, Lacey,” Barry said, walking in.

A flash of surprise went over Miller’s face.

Alarm must have crossed mine too.

Neither of us had heard him finish his conversation or been aware of him approaching the clinical room.

Bloody hell. If he’d come in ten seconds ago…no, make that five seconds ago.

Guest Post by Lily Harlem: Have You Been Bitten Yet?

October 28  |  eBooks, News  |   Kay Jaybee

It’s almost Halloween, so why not sit down and indulge your reading muscles in some steaming paranormal erotica? And who better to provide you with some sexy shivers, shocks and shimmers than my good friend, and fellow Brit Babe, Lily Harlem? Over to you Lily…

lily_email_banner

Have You Been Bitten Yet?

Thanks so much for inviting me over today, Kay. I’ve brought with me some hot vampires and seriously sexy shifters! My two newest releases are Bite Mark and Claw Mark – do read Bite Mark first! – and I’m very excited about my first dally into paranormal erotic romance. I’ve mixed my supernatural heroes with one of my other favourite sub genres – ménage a trois – because I’m never one to say three is a crowd! Right since the start of my writing career throwing a plus one into the bedroom has been a bit of a habit of mine.

bite mark

There is something about ménage a trois relationships that really sparks my imagination. I love the dynamics and the endless possibility for conflicts, sexy positions and happy ever after’s. Throw in fangs and claws and I had a great time writing these books, I hope you’ll check them out.

Bite Mark

Life in London as a butcher girl is hard enough, but when my best friend Denny went missing it became miserable. So stumbling into the Worshipful Company of the Ancient Order while searching for him was like a breath of fresh air. Especially because sexy, sophisticated Aimery promised to help me. But Aimery’s friend Ryle wanted in on the action. My head was spinning, my body reacting to theirs whenever they were around. But I had questions: What was their obsession with my rare blood type? How did they always appear when I needed them? And how old were they? Learning the truth about my lovers brought new fears and delights. They could take me higher than I’d ever gone before, show me pleasures I’d never imagined and were prepared to kill to protect me. Being mortal had never been so much erotic fun—or so deliciously dangerous.

Claw Mark

This book is a sequel to Bite Mark; to ensure full enjoyment of this book, please read Bite Mark first.   Being married to two sexy vampires is as exciting as it is dangerous. One minute I’m on top of the world, the next I’m running for my life. But it’s okay with Aimery and Ryle at my side—they’ve sworn to love and protect me and keep me satisfied until I’m old and tray. But when everything crashes down, literally, I can see no way out of the darkness—death my best option. Until two unusual men come bounding to my aid. Gentle Caleb and prickly Isaac have secrets. They’re full of passion, desire, love and lust and their isolated lives are weaved with mystery. But I know what they are. I’m also craving some serious satisfying, a distraction from my dilemma, and it seems these guys are up for the job. Will my life always be turbulent, terrifying and tempting beyond belief? Nothing is certain in a world of vampires and shifters.

Musing with the Brit Babes

October 14  |  News  |   Kay Jaybee

I have always find the idea of where a writer’s ideas come from fascinating. Where the thoughts that drive our stories are generated…I’ve always believed in the theory of the muse. That there can be someone or something or somewhere that acts as a trigger to our creative processes. I have certainly got a muse (more about mine tomorrow)- but what do some of my Brit Babes friends think- do they have a muse to play with…

Lily Harlem? Do you have one?

lily_email_banner

Mmm…muse, where are you? Over here, over there…Nope, I can’t find it.

It’s not that I haven’t got a muse, it’s just that he or she or it is so much a part of myself that I don’t think it’s a separate entity or a “thing”. When asked by my lovely friend Kay Jaybee to describe my muse and its (I do think “it” is the best word here) characteristics I had to really think about the details.

For me my muse is the reel of film in my head that plays out like a movie when I wake up at four in the morning. It’s Technicolour, it’s exciting, dramatic and leaves no detail of my WIP un-described. It taunts me with beautiful lines, snippets of dialogue and perfect adjectives that I really want to remember in the morning and I’m sure I will (but often don’t). It has me tossing and turning, wondering if I should get up and write but then my common sense tells me I’ll be too tired to do anything the next day if I do.

Lily's Muse

Another time I feel my muse is there is when the house is absolutely still and quiet and I’m sitting in my study at the top of the house. The window has beautiful views across fields and to the hills in the distance – Brecon Beacons – and as I stare out, taking a pause from a scene, I really feel that something is surrounding me, lifting me out of that pretty pink office and taking me to wherever the scene I’m writing is set. Whether it’s Bangkok or Orlando or the Canadian Rockies I’m there and something is with me helping me fade out of reality and into my imagination. Is that my muse? Taking me, transporting me, accompanying me? I guess it is.

My muse, therefore, doesn’t have a name or a personality or fluctuations in temperament, it’s pretty damn consistent and demanding and, of course, wonderfully helpful. The nighttime thing can be a bit of a pain but I’m used to it now and sometimes I even rouse and think “oh good, I can work through that scene now”. But I hope that inspiration, the kink in my imagination and my ability to “see” my stories stays with me, and if that’s my muse, then long may it last because I’m hugely grateful.

****

So Victoria Blisse, where does your muse lurk?

Victoria

My muse loves public transport. I get lots of my best ideas sat on buses or trains. I can’t read or write there because I get travel sick so I just have to let my mind wander and when it goes for a wander my muse starts telling it stories –it’s great.

writing on train

I’ve always been told I’m a daydreamer, little did I know when I was a kid that my imaginings were getting me ready to one day be an author. The muse was already whispering to me, even before I was old enough to write, I was getting the ideas, the inspirations.

Talking of dreaming, my muse is often active at night too. I will dream a dream and it will stick with me the next day and then it will expand into a story. Making it Real started as a dream of just one scene (my favourite one, with the snowy kiss) and expanded into a whole novel!

brit babe button

****

And how about you Lucy Felthouse? I’m guessing it’ll be film stars that set your mind a racing…but which ones?

Lucy-Felthouse-52

My muses tend to vary from piece to piece—and sometimes I don’t have a particular muse in mind at all. But for full-length novels, they’re pretty much a necessity—it’s much easier for me to write about characters if I can visualise them. And that’s exactly what I did with Pack of Lies, my just-released paranormal erotic romance novel. In my mind, Hugh Jackman plays one of the werewolf brothers, Matthew. Taylor Kitsch plays Isaac, the other brother. And Daniel Feurriegel plays Nathaniel, Isaac’s love interest. I didn’t “cast” Matthew’s love interest as she’s female, and for some reason I often don’t cast my female characters. The bizarre mind of a writer!

pack-of-lies

I created a Pinterest board for inspiration on setting, characters and more – check it out here: http://www.pinterest.com/cw1985/pack-of-lies/

Finally, let’s hand over to Kd Grace

Pic from ETO winBqxJnN_CEAIXatU.jpg-large

A lot of my writing friends have sexy muses, muses that look like Aiden Turner of James Mcavoy. I’m not that lucky. My muse is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, female. I don’t know what she looks like because she’s always just out of my line of sight, constantly goading me on with a stick – not a sharp stick, a stick that doesn’t so much penetrate as bruises and hurt like hell if I don’t toe the line.

Aidan

Mind you, she doesn’t always use the stick. The stick’s just to get my attention and get me going. She knows I’m neurotic enough that once I’m inspired with an idea, I’m a pit bull. But she doesn’t like me thinking too much about anything else once I’m off and writing. She wants me focused to the point of obsession, and an occasional poke with the stick is just a good reminder, especially if it’s followed by just the taste of inspiration. She knows how far I’ll go for a little inspiration, and she knows exactly what it takes to get me there. It’s sort of a Pavlovian response, I suppose, she pokes and I write.

431px-Medusa_Mascaron_(New_York,_NY)

I have no fantasies about her, as I might distractedly have if she looked like Aden Turner or James Mcavoy. I reckon she might look a bit like Medusa, in that if I ever saw her face, she’d have to kill me. But really, I don’t want to see. Not that I’m scared…Well of course I’m scared. But not scared that I might see her face. What I’m really scared of, what makes me break out in a cold sweat and have nightmares is what I would do if she ever left me. And when that happens, when I have that horrible gnawing in the pit of my stomach, that fear of sitting down to the laptop and having nothing come, it’s amazing just how good a bruising hard poke with her stick. It’s truly balm for the creative soul.

Yup! Nice would never be a word I’d use to describe my Muse. In fact I’m sure I’d get a good hard poke if I did. But my Muse knows me. My Muse knows me better than I know myself, and she knows how to access that in me that I fear, that in my that I don’t trust, that in me that I pretend does not exist. She knows how to open up the dark corners and make me see the treasure in the dust motes and the rust. I reckon that’s worth a poke or two with a stick.

****

Many thanks to my Brit Babes friends for sharing their muse thoughts with us today- come back tomorrow, for a little look at mine.

Happy reading,

Kay xx
