A tasty taster from Wednesday on Thursday

It’s almost a year since I finished writing Wednesday on Thursday– I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. Today I thought I’d share a little from its coffee soaked, word obsessed, pages.

Blurb

There are rumours that the coffee guy has “a thing” about words.

Shrugging off her friend’s concern about the way the man in the café stares at her every lunch hour, Wednesday can’t see how his love of words could possibly be hazardous.

The fact is, Wednesday rather enjoys being the centre of an attractive man’s undivided attention. His dark blue eyes alone have provided her with many delicious erotic fantasies, a welcome distraction from the pressures of the real world and a dull job.

It’s totally harmless…

…until there’s an accident with a cup of coffee.

After soaking Wednesday with a hot latte, the coffee guy’s attention suddenly becomes far more enticing—and dangerous.

Drawn into a bizarre world of human behavioural research, where crosswords are used to initiate sexual experiments, Wednesday finds herself driven, not by a desire to further scientific research, but by the need to be rewarded for her hard work by the coffee guy’s captivating research assistant.

A stunning redhead by the name of Thursday…

Extract from Wednesday on Thursday

… Wednesday had selected her clothes with more care than usual. She told herself she was wearing her best underwear because it gave her more confidence. It was absolutely not because she’d spent a largely sleepless night dreaming of the coffee guy’s expression as he ran his shrewd gaze over her jet black satin bra with matching knickers.

With one extra button open on her shirt, Wednesday left her flat, raking her hand restlessly through her long chestnut hair. She kept telling herself that he was just a bloke who got off on the power of making her feel sexy. That was perfectly all right by her, because he clearly had no intention of doing anything beyond titillating her imagination.

Wednesday had experienced her fair share of relationships during her twenty-nine years, but no-one had ever managed to arouse her with a single glance before.

‘For goodness sake, woman, you don’t even know his name!’ Even though she kept trying to talk sense into herself, the four hours until lunchtime couldn’t pass fast enough.

By the time her break finally arrived, Wednesday thought her heart was going to thud right through her chest with nervous tension. Walking into the café, she was more than usually aware of the sound of her heels clattering across the wooden floor.

Wednesday forced herself not to look for him, to just queue up for her latte and toasted sandwich as she always did. Even though she managed to prevent herself from obviously surveying the busy room, she covertly hunted for him nonetheless.

He wasn’t there. A sensation of disappointment gripped her. She felt stupid; humiliated even. But only briefly.

There was an envelope on her regular table.

Sitting down with her food and drink, Wednesday gaped at the cream coloured envelope. Her name was written in clear script across its front.

Wednesday took a soothing sip of her drink as she wondered if the coffee guy was hidden nearby. She had an uneasy feeling that, if he was secretly observing her, he’d be getting off on watching her reactions. Struggling to steady her erratic breathing, Wednesday was more than a little aware that her tits were doing their best to burst through their satin holster.

Exhaling slowly, she opened the envelope.

The words had an instant impact on her internal temperature gauge. Wednesday’s body began to alternate between flushing with heat and shivering with cold, as if she was getting a fever and a chill at the same time.

Dear Wednesday,

Forgive my rudeness for not having properly introduced myself before now.

My name is Lucas.

I will be blunt. I find you fascinating, and would like to make love to you. I would like to say my intentions are honourable, but they are not. They are lust-driven, and I feel it only fair you know that from the start.

If you are interested in knowing more, then please come to the address below once you have consumed your toasted sandwich. If you choose not to visit, then I will leave you in peace from this moment forward.

Whatever your decision, I would prevail upon you to keep this correspondence private.

Flat 1.

56 Chambers Way.

Regards,

L x

P.S. I apologise for the coffee incident. I trust I did not damage you. I will make the sincerity of my regret known to you should you decide to be my guest.

Wednesday didn’t finish her lunch.

Her legs had started taking her in the direction of Chambers Way without bothering to ask the rest of her if it was a good idea or not.

She knew the address.

The building, a private block of flats, was only two hundred metres from the office block where Wednesday had been employed as an administration clerk for the past two years.

Knowing she’d never forgive herself if she didn’t find out what was within Flat 1, with her pulse racing, Wednesday hovered outside a dark green front door.

A door that led to Lucas and whatever he planned to do by way of an apology.

Without allowing herself to think about what she was doing, Wednesday knocked twice…

A Sticky Situation: a taste of erotic romance

A Sticky Situation is an erotic romance with a decidedly tasty edge…

Sticky Situation- New 2015

If there is a paving stone to trip over, or a drink to knock over, then Sally Briers will trip over it or spill it. Yet somehow Sally is the successful face of marketing for a major pharmaceutical company; much to the disbelief of her new boss, Cameron James.

Forced to work together on a week-long conference in an Oxford hotel, Sally is dreading spending so much time with arrogant new boy Cameron; whose presence somehow makes her even clumsier than usual.

Cameron on the other hand, just hopes that he’ll be able to stay professional, and keep his irrational desire to lick up all the accidently split food and drink that is permanently to be found down Sally’s temptingly curvy body, all to himself.

It could be a very long week- unless Cameron can find a way of making Sally slop so much of her after show champagne, that he has no choice but to march her off and relieve her of her sodden clothing… He is sure that, if he could find a way to stop Sally resenting him taking her previous bosses job, then they could enjoy no end of sticky situations together…

britbabes_kink_mildnsaucy_1

After the arrival of new boy, Cameron James, to Zelcon Pharmaceuticals, Sally takes and instant dislike to him- a dislike that is tainted further with distrust when she learns that he is to be her new boss. Cameron however, has serious sexual fantasy issues about his new assistant- but he just can’t see how someone so clumsy can be as good at her job as everyone says she is…

Not only was this the first proper erotic romance I’d ever written (no whips or chains!), but A Sticky Situation was my first foray into the word of food (and indeed drink) sex- and it was terrific fun to do!

marmalade

Initially inspired by me spilling a breakfast of marmalade on toast down my front in full view of an entire café full of people, I began to wonder how I could work my own regular foodie clumsiness into a sexy love story, and which foods I could play with!

I toyed with the idea of a variety of fruit juices running over naked bodies; ice cream deserts being smeared into interesting places, and even selectively dotted spots of marmite- however, on this occasion, these foodstuffs didn’t make the grade! Avoiding my usual BDSM moments in the interests of a softer romance, I nonetheless stayed faithful to my kinky story style with the help of champagne, ice, and even a vast helping of Chinese noodles…

…Resting Sally’s juddering frame against the bed, Cameron’s eyes fell on the carton of noodles. Taking up a single strand of the cold sticky string, he held it between finger and thumb, bringing the end against Sally’s hypersensitive nipples. It was high time he lived out one of the fantasies she had inspired…

Her eyes flew open as the tacky pasta began to circle her right tit, reminding Sally of the snake hidden away on his backside. Her breath caught in the back of her throat as she watched, mesmerised, as the elongated noodle began to hide her boob.

Picking up another noodle with quiet reverence, Cameron said, ‘I was going to tell you about my fantasy…’

Mrs Peters has redecorated: The Fifth Floor

I am extremely excited to be able to reveal the brand new covers for my BDSM erotic suspense/romance series, The Perfect Submissive Trilogy.

After five years, I decided it was time to give my award winning series a face lift, a re-edit, and add back in a few scenes that were previously considered too hot to handle and so never made it to the publication stage…

As you may recall, book one of the trilogy used to be called The Perfect Submissive. However, I never did like that title for novel one – so now it has a new title – The Fifth Floor.

So, what does the cover look like now…

The Fifth Floor will be available, chapter by chapter, on the Radish app from today until 25th November – and then in December, you’ll be able to buy it in e-book and paperback form.

If you haven’t encountered The Perfect Submissive Trilogy before, here’s the blurb-

Hidden behind the respectable façade of the Fables Hotel in Oxfordshire, five specially-adapted rooms await visitors to the fifth floor.  Here, Mrs Peters is mistress of an adult entertainment facility pandering to the kinky requirements of its guests.  When she meets Jess Sanders, she recognises the young woman’s potential as a deliciously meek addition to her specialist staff.  All it will take is a little education.

Under the tutelage of dominatrix, Miss Sarah, Jess learns to cope with an erotically-demanding training schedule and a truly sexy exercise regime. But will she come to terms with her new career?

Meanwhile, Mrs Peters is temporarily distracted from her intimidating rule over the fifth floor by artist, Sam Wheeler – who she believes can help her in her mission to transform Jess into the perfect submissive…

 ***

I’m really excited about re-releasing my novels to a new generation of readers, while hopefully making some of my faithful readers smile along the way!

Fancy seeing the covers for the rest of the trilogy?

Here you go! I love them!

If you can’t wait until The Fifth Floor is out in e-book or paperback form, then why not upload the Radish app to you PC or phone, and start reading today!

Happy reading,

Guest post by Sarah Dahl: What is “sensual” – as opposed to just “hot”?

I’m delighted to welcome Sarah Dahl to my place today. Why not settle down for a touch of Viking action, and a great blog.

Sarah Dahl writes sensual Viking romance short stories as the “Tales of Freya”. So far, she has published three: “The Current – A Battle of Seduction”, “The Awakening – Embrace beyond Passion”, and “Monk – Captured by Temptation”, of which you can read an excerpt here:

***

“Alistair tears his gaze away from his mistress’s parted lips. Oh God, have mercy; what kind of test is this …. He frantically tries to remember the words that kept his mind occupied during the previous nights, the words that saved him from touching himself at the sound of the couple’s love-making. But now, with her slender fingers on the fabric of his cowl — How can such a sensation, a mere bodily feeling, so easily steer his mind away from his vows, his beliefs, his promises? Was he ever even honest with himself, ever really convinced of his chosen way of life?

He jerks backwards to escape Runa’s touch. The racing of the pulse in his throat scares him.

Runa exchanges a smile with her husband, then her hands find their way underneath Alistair’s cowl.

Alistair freezes, his eyes drowning in hers as skin meets skin for the first time. He winces, but can’t move. The gently crackling fire in the hall sends just enough light through the rough wicker wall to read their faces, see motions and emotions, without laying it all bare like the cruel sun.

Maybe He is looking the other way just now …. Alistair swallows hard against the dryness of his mouth. He couldn’t find a verse strong enough to weaken the power of his mistress’s hands on him. Under his cowl, her hands move up, across his stomach, and to his chest, soft and gentle, inoffensive, exploring him.

His skin tingles where her fingers trail. Little, shy waves of pleasure spread across his torso and settle in his lap. He wants to weep at the intimacy her caress offers. With a mere touch, she sets his small, solitary world on fire.

His sight blackens, his mind empties, and he breaks into a very pagan sweat.”

What is “sensual” – as opposed to just “hot”?

By definition, sensual means enjoyable, pleasing, fulfilling to the senses (mostly with a sexual onnotation). And hey, we’re talking about steamy romance some might describe as erotica, BUT I strongly disagree: My writing colleague and a master of the genre, J.D. Lexx, described my craft as “intricate plots that just happen to be sensual”. The erotic undertones or actions aren’t just a means to an end. They are embedded in plots with depth and character development, authentic setting- and period-descriptions. The sexual tension unfolds slowly. There is real longing, a deep yearning for the other person, I show the multi-layered emotions and conflicts the protagonists have to go through. I don’t follow the usual rules of neither romance nor erotica.

Maybe that’s because I’m German. My definition of sensual includes: vulnerability. A letting down of defences. My protagonists let their love- (and sex-) interest “in”, they open up and reveal their weaknesses. Which is particularly attractive when a Viking does it; the typical image of a strong, invincible warrior, who suddenly faces the vulnerability that comes with deep longing for “the one”. I make use of that contradiction, this tension, in my stories. All the Tales of Freya  feature a strong warrior (or shield maiden!) who through their deep desire and love for someone become vulnerable and vincible. But in the course of my tales, they also become even stronger through their emotions and the will to risk something for their fulfilment. Because their life receives an – unforeseen –  direction, a meaning, and a clear destination. Their lives change from a simple fighting life (like in “The Current”, the first Tale), or no fighting life and meaninglessness (like in “The Awakening”) to something more. Warriors who are fearless in the shieldwall suddenly learn what real fear is – for their world view, or for someone they love (I explore this in the upcoming “Bonds”, which ties into the first story “Current”). Their desire reveals their true depths, the new meaning they want in their lives, and what they have to overcome (especially prominent in this latest story “Monk”. Here the sexual act transforms our protagonist in several ways and makes him question his entire choice of life).

This is very emotional and requires that I do my protagonists justice. I don’t want just to use the pretty warrior bodies for the readers’ pleasure. I reveal the people behind the armour. I want to drag readers into their world and minds. They aren’t cardboard warriors, they are characters with flaws and dreams – and fear. I want readers to feel for them, root for them, enjoy with them when their dream comes true and changes their life. So my writing has to be exceptionally intimate, not just hot. It has to be “sensual” in the German sense. The sensuality and sexual tension has to have a deep meaning and stakes to be high, to unfold in an emotionally impactful way. Which then hopefully impacts the reader more, too. “My sex” isn’t just a carnal act. It’s about fulfilment, about real emotions, and questioning your chosen path. My people risk something to gain something they really truly desire for the longer term. They become stronger through it. They change. “Hotness” alone, or what we’d call “just sex” doesn’t change the protagonists. Real emotions do. When something inside them shifts and something grows that takes over, that alters their goals and dreams. This is what happens in my historical fiction which just happens to be sexy: real stakes, real change.

So in my Tales of Freya, the sexual tension and desire I introduce are a means to dive deep into the character’s cores, and fast. I have to make their emotions unfold in record time – unlike in a novel, my story and character arcs are much, much shorter. But I want to achieve a lot in that short space: character development, rising stakes, risk, and a life-changing outcome: In “Monk – Captured by Temptation” the sensual act shatters the world views of both my monk and his Viking captors, and after their daring encounter they come out as changed people with new outlooks on life. I hope you enjoy watching the drama – and sexiness 😉 – unfold!

Trying something new: Grabbing a Radish…

After years of concentrating on both traditional and self publishing, I have recently taken on a different publishing medium. I’ve started to place my work on the reading app platform- Radish.

I have to confess that until recently I believed a radish to be a small, peppery, salad item that I love to eat- but can’t, because they most certainly do not love me back.

These days when I talk about Radish I am referring to the app that you can install onto your phone or computer, from which you can download reading matter.

Each book on Radish can be downloaded on an episode-by-episode or chapter-by-chapter level. Sometimes the stories are free, sometimes they take a few ‘coins’ to unlock. These coins are purchased in the same way you’d buy coins to play games such as Candy Crush.

In other words- the app is simple and easy to use- and it is full of great fiction which you can take with you anywhere.

I am very grateful to fellow author Emmanuelle de Maupassant for recommending that I apply to be a Radish author.

I still can’t believe they accepted me!

So far you can read 6 episodes from my short story collection, A Kink a Day- Book One, on Radish. Once the whole book has been released, I shall start adding on A Kink a Day Book Two and Three. In the meantime- keep your eyes open, because I’m going to adding the first novel in the updated and new look The Perfect Submissive Trilogy- The Fifth Floor, to Radish in the near future.

Once each book has been through Radish, I will release them as e-books and (in some cases) as paperbacks….It’s all so exciting!!

If you want to read my stories- and lots of other stories as well- then you can find Radish here.

Happy reading,

Kay xx
