A Kink a Day Book One: Out next week!

I firmly believe that everybody needs a bedtime story.
So within the e-pages of A Kink a Day Book One (to be published on 13th September) I have provided you with one bite sized piece of erotic fantasy for each night of the week…with an extra little something to enjoy during that Saturday morning lie in.

Some of the stories have been released before in my (no longer available) Quick Kink collections. Others are brand new.

A Kink a Day 1 is the first in a  series of 3 anthologies designed to provide  light relief after a hard day at the office- with an extra nibble of sexy story-age at the weekend – and it is OUT NEXT WEEK.

Here’s an extract from the very first story to whet your appetite…

A Leading Conversation
‘What would you do next?’ Faye’s voice wavered as she struggled to maintain the air of cool indifference she’d been determined to maintain, ‘after you’d stripped me?’
‘I’d bend you over and spank you – hard.’
‘What with?’
‘My belt.’
‘Your leather one? About an inch think?’ Faye could picture the belt Sean always wore clearly; faded, worn and brown, with a twisted knot pattern inlaid through its length. She shivered at the mere thought of it.
‘That’s the one.’
‘What am I bent over?’
Sean was silent for a while and Faye could faintly hear movement around him. It hadn’t occurred to her that this call was being made in public. She broke through his concentration, her tone husky and urgent, ‘Where are you anyway?’
‘In a deserted waiting room on Banbury Station – and you, for the purposes of a much deserved spanking, are bent over the foot of your bed. Plus, I’ve just decided I will tie your wrists together in front of you.’
Despite the two mugs of coffee she’d recently downed, Faye’s mouth felt dry. She couldn’t believe how assertive Sean sounded, particularly as anyone could walk in on him at any moment. She wasn’t even sure how this conversation had started. He’d been in an odd mood he’d said, sort of horny with nowhere to go and no one to shag, and for a reason Faye didn’t understand, she had asked him what he’d like to do if he could. Sean hadn’t even hesitated before blurting out that he’d like to see her naked.
From her oldest friend’s rather startling confession only five minutes ago, they’d somehow got to Faye being naked, semi-bound with her arse in the air, awaiting the first stroke of his belt.
Her mind raced; was Sean just messing around to kill time? Would he end this with a laugh, and leave her feeling silly and privately humiliated for taking him literally? Or could he actually be serious? Did he really want to do this to her?
‘Faye, are you still there?’ Sean’s voice interrupted her violently flickering thoughts, simultaneously reassuring her that he was serious, yet making her wonder if he was regretting sharing his fantasy.
‘I’m here.’ She licked her lips, abandoning any lingering ideas about remaining aloof. ‘What happens next?’

‘I hit you. The leather makes a fantastic cracking sound as it connects with your skin, and the belt leaves a pretty pink patch on your flesh. I love it, so I do it again.’
For the first time, Faye noticed that Sean’s breathing had become shallow and felt further reassured. She began to chew her bottom lip, ‘Am I crying out?’
‘Yes, but I don’t want you to, so I’ve paused in my work to fetch a gag.’
‘A scarf?’
‘I have a ball gag.’
Faye’s heartbeat quickened at the confession, and she couldn’t keep the surprise from her voice, ‘You do?’
She was learning an awful lot this morning about a man she thought she’d known so well. This was a new Sean, an attractive stranger who had very grown-up sex toys. She would never have associated him with anything like that before now. ‘May I still ask questions – now that I am gagged, so to speak?’
Sean went quiet again and Faye could faintly hear the echoing squeak of a train’s arrival being announced over a tannoy. As the noise died away, he said, ‘No. I think you should just listen to me for a while.’
Faye almost said ‘OK’ but stopped herself. After all, Sean had already metaphorically silenced her. Wiping her palms on her jeans, she looked around her while she waited for him to speak again. She tried to take in the view before her; the park, the trees, the ducks on the pond, but all she was conscious of was a desperate need to hear Sean’s voice again…

Hidden Embers (Book 1 Bride of Fire) by Jane Burrelli

I am delighted to welcome Jane Burrelli to my place today to share a little from her brand new erotic fantasy- Hidden Embers.

Over to you Jane…

When the gods breathed life into us, they blessed us with an element. It’s a pity they didn’t care to bless anything else.

The Empress of the Throne of Flames is assassinated. Acting as a decoy to protect the next Empress, the undervalued Princess Nymira flees to the north. She must now carry the sacred sword, the symbol of her people and rejoin the Empress.

It is a mission Mira cannot fail but first, she must traverse the Western wastelands. The journey is perilous and the once sheltered princess finds herself rescued by the Ice Lord, Zorren. The leader of the Iceari, the natural enemy to Firelanders.

Zorren is reputed to be a ruthless leader and Mira fights the attraction that blazes between them. Resulting in a clash of not only their wills but also their elements. After all, fire and ice don’t mix. Or do they?

This is book one of the new Bride of Fire series. Join the journey to a mystical world and the adventure and romance that awaits.

(Publisher’s Note: This fantasy romance is intended for adults only and contains elements of danger, suspense, mystery, adventure, and sensual scenes set in an apocalyptic world.)

Extract

“What in the Goddess’ name are you doing?” I screeched. Rearing up I found a firm hand planted in the center of my back pinning me in place. The only thing I had succeeded in doing was loosening my own trews. To my horror, his fingers curled into the waistband. I threw my hips from side to side, my attempts at evasion pitiful.

“You can’t do this!” My protests went unheeded. He calmly took a firm grasp of my hips and threw his leg over mine. Panting, I found I couldn’t move, trapped like a creature in a snare.

“I’m making sure I can see if I truly hurt you.” The fabric rasped over my tender skin. Shivering, my squirming bottom revealed to the elements, the chilled air bringing a moment of relief.

“Trust me, it hurt.”

His hand rubbed the reddened flesh, murmuring, “Your skin colours so easily.”

The touch ignited a steady throb between my legs—what in Khatri’s name? The pause allowed me to gather my wits.

“Do you know why you are in this position?” Khatri’s tits, he wanted to talk now!

“Because you can’t abide being defied!” I hissed, struggling to concentrate on anything but calloused fingers now tracing patterns on my heated flesh. Closer and closer to the apex and I wiggled, longing for more of the same. The soft touch lingering at the sensitive crease where buttock met thigh. I shivered but it was different from the previous man who had touched me. It wasn’t revulsion, it ignited a fire that I didn’t know how to put out.

“Is that what you think?” Lazily the finger drew back and forth, and my muscles jerked in response. The unexpected wallop shattered the first inklings of pleasure and sent my cheeks bouncing. The sting increasing tenfold without clothing to mute it. “

Try again…”

Bio

When I realised that the world was not hiring for a ‘sarcastic but benign Supreme Ruler of the Universe’ I’ve decided to focus on my passion. By day I work in a UK company’s finance department and by night I become my alter ego Scribble Girl or as my good friends have affectionately dubbed me the ‘sex author’. Always armed with a notepad and pen in the black hole I call a handbag, I have been writing never ending stories since the age of 11 and this all stemmed from my love of reading.

I love reading. Period!

I’m part of the Harry Potter generation and while waiting between books would literally devour any book I could get my hands on. Let’s put it this way J.K Rowling has a lot to answer for. I adore that there is no end in sight to where your own imagination can take you and that between the pages of a book you are transported to another world.

Happy Reading!

Excerpt:

The sound of my husband swearing snapped me out of my mouth-watering daydream, and back into the dullness of reality. I put my book, and the sinfully delicious Nathan Mathers contained within its pages, down on the hotel bed and glared at him. “What’s happened?” I asked, trying to sound concerned and not irritated that he had ruined my fantasy.

“They want Roberta Hathaway to attend the festival,” he said, pacing the room and running his hands over his head, raking his fingers through his light brown hair, which was in desperate need of a trim, I noticed. I’d started doing that – picking up on little things about him that grated on my nerves. I gave myself a mental chastising. This was supposed to be a weekend for us to rekindle our long-lost spark. And it hadn’t been that long, after all. Some couples go years without sex. What were a few months? My stomach knotted as unwanted memories began to swim towards the surface of a very deep lake.

I grazed my teeth along my bottom lip and glanced down at the name on the cover of the book I’d been reading. “Is that a problem?”

I was secretly giddy at the prospect of finally meeting my favourite author, and didn’t understand why he was so stressed. Roberta Hathaway was a prolific, and best selling, erotic romance author. She’d achieved the top spot on numerous sought-after lists. The Sunday Times, New York Times, USA Today, Amazon… They all raved about her novels. But she was also famously reclusive.

In the ten years that Des’s company had represented her, she had never once attended a signing, festival, or book launch, leaving all the publicity down to him and his business partner, Peggy. In fact, the only time anyone saw her was when they looked at the rather dated black and white photo on the back of her books. My husband had been her agent for a decade, and I’d never met her. The idea of her finally attending a literary festival was immense! I mentally played out the conversations I’d have on the playground when the other mums found out that I had met Roberta Hathaway. They’d be insanely jealous.

I’d first discovered her through Des a few years earlier, when he’d handed me a copy of her first novel Sinfully Yours to glance over. He’d called it an Advanced Reading Copy. It hadn’t even had a front cover then, and was full of typos. It had been a good read, but hadn’t really been my thing at the time. I’d glanced over it, more than read it. Before Roberta, the most erotic thing I’d ever read was an old Jilly Cooper novel, tucked away and gathering dust in the school library when I was a teenager. It had felt naughty at the time – I was sure it had been put there by mistake. Probably a prank by one of the sixth formers. When I look back, I realise how tame it was in comparison to what I read now. Especially when compared to Roberta Hathaway. She had certainly improved since that first book I’d scanned all those years ago.

“Think of the publicity,” I said, trying to keep my tone smooth and unexcited, although I suspect he heard the eagerness seeping through my words. I wondered if that made me a sad and lonely desperate housewife. I spent my free hours lost in so-called Mummy porn, supposedly written and designed for women whose sex lives were lacklustre and boring.

Des ignored me, as he always did when I dared to make a suggestion regarding his business, and picked up his mobile. He pressed a button and held it to his ear. “Peggy? Did you get the email? Shit… Yeah, I know… I know. What the hell is she playing at? How the hell does she expect us to pull that off with no notice whatsoever?” He cast a glance at me before checking his watch. “Half an hour? Yeah, I could do that.” He hung up. “I’m really sorry, hon, but I have to go and meet with Peggy to sort this shit-storm out. Get yourself some room service or something, and I’ll make it up to you another day. I promise.” He leaned down and pressed a kiss to my forehead – more action than I’d had in weeks.

I clucked my tongue and frowned. Our trip to Inverness was supposed to combine business with pleasure; a book festival for Des to mingle at, sell some of Roberta’s new books, and make new contacts, and a dirty weekend away for the both of us to try and relight a flame that had been long extinguished. It was the first time we’d had more than a day to ourselves since our eldest son had been born, almost twelve years ago. And now I was being abandoned, yet again, so that he could go and discuss my favourite author with his business partner. So much for stoking dwindling fires. The guilt of a certain dalliance started to feel unwarranted, and the suspicions I’d been flirting with began to stain my vision once more.

Exciting Times: 2018

I have so much planned for 2018 that I hardly know where to start!

I’ll forgo the look back over 2017 as -to be honest- it wasn’t the best year. Instead, let’s look forward to the year ahead. A year which is already looking jam packed!

As you’ll know if you follow this blog, the first part of my “The Perfect Submissive Trilogy” – The Fifth Floor- was re-released last month.

Hot on its heels will be the re-release of Book Two- The Retreat. This is currently available on the reading app, Radish. In a few months time however, it will be available as both an eBook and as a paperback- as will Book 3- Knowing Her Place.

Not only that, but my bestselling novel, Making Him Wait, has found a brand new home….more details on that as soon as I’m allowed to tell you!

My Jenny Kane side (contemporary women’s fiction) and my Jennifer Ash side (medieval crime) are also both very very busy teaching writing workshops and giving author talks across the South West of England.

Despite having all that to do- after a while out of the erotica writing arena- I’m working on a brand new series of books. More about that soon!

Also- my Kink a Day series (currently on Radish)- will be available as eBooks asap.

I think you could say, that I’ve got my mojo back!

Happy New Year everyone,

Kay xx
